When to book your maternity session | Whidbey Island Maternity Photographer

I get asked frequently from those who are expecting a new little human “when do I need to book my belly bump shoot”?
Well really we want the biggest bump possible! So the answer is as late as we can without running the risk of babe arriving before the shoot! Ideally no later than 36 weeks or around 4 weeks before your due date is perfect. But that is only a guide, anywhere from 12 to 2 weeks before your due date will be fine.

You may want to do a “gender reveal” – where you use the images to announce the sex of your newborn. You probably won’t find this out until your 20 week ultrasound scan. You will have a pretty good bump by then if you want to get the news out as soon as you can.

Don’t have anything to wear? No problem, our style closet has different dress options available to you or I can easily refer you to sites to purchase things if that is your desire. Remember this is all about pampering you before your little bundle arrives so don’t stress, we’ve got you covered for hair and makeup as well!

Want to include siblings or your significant other as well? Absolutely! We will have them come at the end of your pamper day and get those special images as well.
