1- Her favorite animal is a duck. Her first work besides “mommy” and “dadda” was “quack”! She says it all the time!
2- She loves our golden retriever Mila. She calls her “eeeaahh”, and barks at her while she follows her around the house.
3- She LOVES to sleep, she has been sleeping through the night since 2.5 months! Her dad and I REALLY appreciate this.
4- Nora was born a month early and only weighed 4lbs 11oz. She was so small but so strong from the first day we met her. She only had to spend 2 nights in the NICU to be monitored before she came home with us. Her tiny little baby doll is now dressed in the outfit we brought Nora home from the hospital in.
5- Nora is our first baby and the first Grandchild and Great grandchild on my side of the family. She has 5 cousins on Scott’s side of the family with 2 more on the way!
6- Nora’s middle name is Nichol. Nichol was one of my best friends who passed away and we wanted to honor and cherish her name. Nichol’s parents graciously agreed to let us remember her in this way.
7- She loves to look at books. She will almost always choose a book over another toy or cartoon! Her favorites include “Guess how much I love you” and “The very hungry caterpillar”.
8- Nora has a few favorite stuffed animals that she loves! One is a little brown bear that we have named Carter. It’s a “Carter’s” brand bear with the name embroidered the foot. We started calling it by name and she loves it. Another favorite is a little white lamb named Lambie, she loves it so much that one day when we thought we had lost it, we ordered 3 more online. The original lambie turned up so now we have 4 and they are spread out at all the houses she visits most!
Having these pictures of Nora means so much to us. This year has gone by unbelievably fast and Nora is constantly growing and changing. She is in the sweetest, most angelic phase of her life and I want to hold on to the memory forever. These pictures will give us the opportunity to remember this special milestone that marks the first year of Nora’s life and Scott and my first year of being parents. We can’t wait to display these pictures in our home and to be able to gift them to family as well! Shonda, thank you so much for capturing these perfect pictures of our daughter. They are everything we expected and more!
