Well after quite a bit of behind the scenes work and plenty of tears from not being a technical kind of gal I am so excited to launch my new website and business to you. I am now Shonda Hilton Photography! Wahoo
It is incredibly amazing to think of where I have come from in the past 2 years as this month is my anniversary for going into business. I cannot believe from my 1st session in 2011 to now how much my skill level has had a dramatic change for the better and I continue to learn everyday. I truly never believed the passion and fire that burns inside of me for photography would be so intense and I am fortunate enough to have the love and support of my amazing husband Kevin and son Andrew. I have spent countless hours reading, watching videos, shooting, editing, marketing, and all the other facets of running a business (including a fair amount of our own money) which all take away from my time when I am not working my full time job. Needless to say my house isn’t as clean as I’d like it and I always have long to do lists that I put on myself but I wouldn’t trade any of it. I love what I am doing and am excited about where I am going with my photography. I have spent numerous nights unable to sleep because my mind is spinning with all the possibilities of my future and photography and I don’t believe it will be getting any better with the more I learn and experiment in photographing amazing women and families.
There are a few new professional goals I am setting for myself which include fine art work and entering photography contests over the next year and you will be seeing some new works from me. These also include self portraits that are being turned into composite images that I’m excited to share with you. I am learning so much from amazing photographers like Sue Bryce, Lara Jade, and Brooke Shaden and I hope you like the transformation in my artwork and photography.
As I am finishing my final conversion from Shoots N Grins Photography to Shonda Hilton Photography I will be accepting any printed advertising or gift vouchers that are circulating and will still have advertising with my old name for the next year so do not worry if you have received anything from Shoots N Grins it is all valid still.
