Have you ever wondered what it would be like to experience what it feels like to be a model for day? Or ever dreamed to create legacy images for you and your family? Here are frequent questions I get asked by clients and potential clients.
Do I need to be able to pose?
No, we’ll talk you through that, there are a few tricks we will show you for posing in any photograph and as we go along we will guide you to the best and most flattering positions.
Can I bring alcohol?
No, but if you are over the age of 21 and have one of our pamper packages you will receive a glass of champagne from us.
Can you do my make-up and hair style?
Yes, absolutely, in fact we offer Professional Hair and Makeup for every session.
Do you provide clothes?
We do have a wardrobe with a few staple pieces but you will need to bring a minimum of five outfits to your session. You need to bring clothes that fit and make you feel good. These are not you’re everyday grocery store type but you’re dang I am feeling it clothes.
I don’t need loose prints, why do you not sell only digital images?
Have you ever had a computer crash or software fail? If no consider yourself incredibly lucky! Technology fails, but classic portraits last a lifetime. These are your legacy images. The printed product is what you and your family will cherish for life. Think about your future grandchildren loving your printed portraits. This is why we print, to exist in photos.
I want the session for myself?
And quite right too, nothing wrong with that all. Lots of our clients just want to feel good about themselves or have a memory of when they were feeling great. I want to photograph you so you own the best photograph you you’ve ever seen of yourself. That’s what I want to do for you, that is my greatest joy.
I am very nervous, will it be ok?
That is quite normal, thinking about any type of session can be quite scary. But trust me when I say most of our clients find it empowering and liberating. Our sessions are completely professional and you will find the whole session much more comfortable and easy than you expect. Remember, you are in control throughout the shoot – if you do feel uncomfortable, or you want to go for something stronger or outside of your comfort zone – just let us know. I love outside of comfort zones!
Can a friend come with me?
Yes, that is fine if you need some security. They can watch your shoot in the studio and have a great time with us.
Will I have all females present during the photography session?
Yes, your photographer is female, the assistant is female, and hair and makeup are provided by female staff.
Do you airbrush the pictures or use Photoshop?
While the terminology airbrush is not quite accurate anymore with how editing occurs in professional studios we do indeed use photoshop skills that have been mastered for years to enhance your images. All temporary skin blemishes will automatically be cleaned up. If you have a specific request you would like then you must tell me. But trust me, it will look like you, but you at your best!
I have some scars, is that a problem?
Probably not, we all show ravages of time and marks of our adventures. Birth marks, stretch marks, scars and tattoos can nearly always be worked around. We can also retouch them as required. It does depend on what your particular issue is, so please have a chat with us beforehand.
